Outdoor recreation has long been associated with certain activities or places, like games of kickball, state parks or “summer rec” programs. That was then, this is now. Over the past decade, Outdoor Recreation has flourished into a booming newly-recognized economic sector that many now consider a tool for economic development as its organic and widespread appeal synthesizes with a broad range of citizens. For rural communities, it brings hope.

Backyard Concept supports the emerging outdoor recreation movement through a variety of services, including legal, consulting, management, and advocacy.

In order to accelerate the outdoor recreation movement, and tackle the issues of slow adoption and limited human capital capacity, Backyard Concept seeks to fill a void and act as a change agent on a free-form basis by providing a wide variety of one-stop shop support services. These services can provide stakeholders with an opportunity to out-source critical work that becomes difficult to handle based on current work-load or skill-set limitations.

Without additional support services available in rural environments, the movement slows down. We’re looking to step on the gas, and want to bring the full party forward, together, leaving no one behind.
